I am always told by clients and friends that they just can’t seem to get their children to eat healthy snacks! In this class, I will make my delicious vegan, sugar and nut-free cupcakes as well as a scrumptious chocolate pudding, a vegan sugar-free banana bread, and chocolate coconut macaroons! I literally have to fend my children (as well as their friends) off when I make these recipes!

Is your pantry a mess?
Are you confused about what is and what is not healthy in your pantry?
Do you need help?
With my clients, I often find that the first step to eating healthily begins by making sure there is healthy food on hand (and that the “junk foods” are thrown out!) I will come to your home and personally walk through your pantry and give you guidance and what to throw out and what to buy. You will also be provided with a healthy shopping list.
For more information, contact me atKatherine@be-n-balance.com
Cost is $125/hr or current clients can use one session.

Spring is here! It’s time for us to start preparing our
bodies for the fun and freedom of the summer
(read: bathing suit season). With the bounty of fresh
fruits and vegetables coming our way as we move
forward into the warmer seasons, there’s no better
time to do a juice fast.
It always amazes me that athletes will scrutinize their diets with a fine tooth comb and then use processed sports products packed with fructose and even high fructose corn syrup to boost their performance during – and replenish after – strenuous workouts! When we use sugar and other carbohydrates to temporarily boost our performance, we may see immediate effects, but in the long term this creates a roller coaster ride that is not good for our bodies. So, what do I recommend and personally use to replenish electrolytes after a tough workout? Coconut water!

We spend 100 billion dollars on health care yet we are reaching near epidemics with respect to cancer, obesity, diabetes and heart disease.
